Ok, let me try this one more time about the city attorney. I talked to Alexis at the press office yesterday on the phone and she said that this issue with the cam is not something they can deal with. THE CITY ATTORNEY DID NOT SAY MY CAM WAS ILLEGAL AND SHE DID SAY THAT THC DID NOT GO TO THEM FOR ADVICE
If you don’t believe me, call the Alexis Thompson yourself
The only reason why I called them is because THC claimed the city attorney said my cam was illegal and they didn’t. All the city attorney did was refer that problem right back to THC and Debbie Raucher who so far has refused to answer my calls
This is a matter of The Department of Human Services and the state welfare agencies, because places like THC and others who contract with the state are bound by this rule that says they cannot identify their clients except under certain cases like when the police are involved.
This does not apply to me, a private citizen. There is no law that says me, you, or anybody else cannot identify a person on welfare. Or photograph, or videotape in a public area. There IS a law that says Tenderloin Housing Clinic cannot do this. This is where the problem lies, because THC is trying to apply their restrictions on me, causing a conflict both in change of tenancy, and possibly in free speech itself.
( I think this is more of a contract thing than anything else, where THC is bound by contract and confidentiality agreements, but I have no contract with either THC or the state)
part of the reason why the confusion on places like SFist is because alot of people think that DHS and the city attorney are just different departments. They are not just different departments. The City Attorney deals with laws regarding the general public, and DHS deals ONLY with laws regarding welfare institutions
what they cannot answer is why would a welfare and institutions law apply to me, because I’m not on welfare and all this tells me is the Randy Shaw’s welfare industrial complex is squatting on my right to document abuses of the taxpayer money. Welfare laws do not override general public laws, although DHS would certainly like it that way, according to the dipwad I spoke to there on the phone, so if they were to be able to apply a welfare law to me, then they would be able to do it to everybody else in the entire city of San Francisco. This is something I noticed ever since THC took over this place. The sheer arrogance of these people who live in this insular world, actually don’t realize there are people outside the welfare system. For them, the welfare system IS the universe, so they think everybody is subject to their contracts
This is what happens when DHS and the welfare system takes over existing buildings with private citizens already living in them. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened. I’m still learning about the peculiarities of the welfare system here, and so should other people, because this is getting bigger every year. And it’s always possible they can come take over the building you live in too and then you too can know the special feeling of being absorbed by the state
aside from the issues of ‘the need to run a security cam’, there is a huge irony about this restriction that Tenderloin Housing Clinic cannot name it’s clients..
and that is when they get evicted

I hope they don’t have secret courts in the future now
and PS
pay attention to this one, filed yesterday 13 filings, 13 case numbers, filed against one person
(Yes I know Carlos Hernandez was not a former tenant – this is a random scan from one of many pages – this is what I wanted to show just now, along with other former tenants and welfare clients, and um other employees….hint hint)
AUG-23-2007 PETITION FOR INJUNCTION PROHIBITING HARASSMENT OF EMPLOYEE FILED BY PLAINTIFF TENDERLOIN HOUSING CLINIC, INC. AS TO DEFENDANT HERNANDEZ, CARLOS ENRIQUE MENDOZA JUDICIAL COUNCIL CIVIL CASE COVER SHEET FILED NO FEE

and thanks again to Matt and Sfist
what can I say. It is a public interest story, it involves you, your taxes, and city hall. I can definitely say I never asked for any of this. This is not the first time the state welfare agency has had problems with pre-existing tenants. But I haven’t heard of quite the same situation yet..Most people took the easy way out and just left
stay tuned because people smell a scandal a-brewin, and the fumes might make you pass out (unrelated, but involves THC)
Salacious!…Titillating!…roving bands of feral barking humans?
hmmm…nope, that’s already happened here….sheesh
