This door is on a warehouse at the corner of Howard and Mary, just off of 5th street and is currently boarded up while the door is being replaced. I asked these guys about it because I noticed that the corners of the door, and you can see it in this photo, looked like it had been torn away and maybe people were squatting inside
what this is, is literally damage from years of people pissing on the door, which has literally eaten away the metal sheeting and now they have to replace it, and probably at a cost of thousands of dollars. So yes, there is a definite, and quantifiable cost to people pissing in door ways
It’s not exactly the homeless as most people would expect, although that is part of it…there are also two bars within 100 yards of this door
