This is the team that is in the process of documenting every single species of plant at the San Francisco botanical gardens, and mapping them with geo coordinates. They are about one third of the way through and two years into it and have cataloged about 6000 plants so far, which means there’s an estimated 18,000 plants. This has never been done before at the SF Botanical gardens and will eventually be digitized and publicly available. Previously it was all scattered hand drawn descriptions and maps and very incomplete
