Randy Shaw, head of Tenderloin Housing Clinic and publisher of Beyondchron often writes about progressive issues and labor rights, including his new book on labor activist Cesar Chavez. It’s ironic, because it appears that Randy Shaw doesn’t believe any of these principles when it comes to his own company, running it more like a dictatorship than anything else. This is shameful considering Randy Shaw and Tenderloin Housing Clinic is nearly 100& funded by the City and County of San Francisco through our board of supervisors. Jeoflin Roh, founder of the Central City SRO, of which these documents are the subject, was warned about this very thing when they needed to become a non profit
this all started back in may 2008, with this letter. Click to see larger versions
Randy Shaw apparently retaliated because on Oct 20, the following was signed by nearly all of his Tenderloin Housing Clinic staff
Then, 7 days later came this
all of this resulted in a complaint filed with the National Labor Relations Board against Randy Shaw, where all of these documents are on file
