Maybe this isn’t the worst block, but pretty close. New live cam at Taylor and Ellis, two blocks away from Turk and Taylor where all those shootings happened, and three blocks from 6th and Market where the ‘other’ worst block is and where my cam is (the current cam is no longer pointed at the corner, but further down the alley where it’s quieter)

I did the exact same thing 10 years ago. So long ago, most news articles are long gone and links broken. Some archives are still there to see what it used to look like. It’s better now not because of the cam, but because new businesses are opening on that corner. The cam helped temporarily only for a few months, then I moved to another part of the building and the corner immediately returned to the way it was. Some old comments are still up
Yeah, I got in the news too, even the French press. Even had protesters down there on the corner protesting the cam, but they left after 5 minutes after getting scared of all the crack dealers..lol
