Details and History
The Wikimedia Commons website offers a multitude of historical images with no restrictions on use. This 1906 James M. Davis stereoview titled An Afternoon on Market Street after the Great Earthquake, San Francisco is from the B. W. Kilburn Company. The Kilburn brothers publishing co was founded in 1865 and Benjamin assumed full control in 1877. Publishing ceased in 1909, the year of his death, whereupon the extensive catalog was transferred to the Keystone View Co.
