The Soma Grand is next door to the federal building and across the street from the US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and the pair of hawks in the previous post. This could be one of them
This corner spot above Mission Street on top of the Soma Grand has also become a regular perch. Recently this one has been spending all day on the roof of that top corner apartment. Ironically, the people in the apartment probably wouldn’t notice it right above them, even on the balcony
but this is hardcore perching here, not moving for over 7 hours

And updated, today, July 20, 2012, it’s up there again – in for the long haul. Great view from up there. You can see all the way to Mt San Bruno and all over Soma and Potrero Hill and the Mission and beyond
