I noticed this posted on the door today walking down Stevenson Alley. This is a long and sad story. Dan Mccarthy used to have a roofing business a few years ago. then he lost his employees because he treated them like crap, was then sued by half his creditors. All because he was likely doing methamphetamine, and every day. I can’t prove it, but he had that speed freak vacant look, dark circles under the eyes, and as recently as two days ago, he was out yet again sweeping the street and his roof..at….uh….at 3:30 in the morning
He owned the building but apparently he never paid the mortgage because now he’s evicted. I had my own complaints about him because of the barking dogs, and this is mainly why I’m posting it. The dogs have also been taken away to the SPCA (san francisco department of animal control), two nice German shepherds who were actually very sweet dogs, when they weren’t barking all night whenever Dan left the building. So, in a few days, these dogs might be adoptable, if not already. Click on the photos to see the notices if anybody wants to adopt them. That’s the really sad part about this, I’d hate to see those two dogs put down
PS, I remember, for example, many, many, many times these dogs would be howling, when Dan the owner left the building..It really sounded like painful crying. I think I complained to the Animal Control department dozens of times over the years, because it sounded like they were abandoned…They, the department, would tell me they can’t do anything unless they see proof of abuse..They can’t enter the property unless there’s an emergency of some sort (starvation, etc)
it never got quite that far, but now they confiscated them anyway. I hope these two dogs can be adopted
