Natural Act was a band that was started after It’s A Beautiful Day broke up in the 70’s. It consists of original It’s A Beautiful Day members Hal Wagenet (guitar) and Mitchel Holman(bass), and Time Dawe, who wrote two songs on the third album and recorded under Frank Zappa’s Straight Records label, and Ralph Benkus, the drummer. Time Dawes rare album Penrod is now on CD, while the only Natural Act album, Timothy with Mrs Pickens has never been on CD, but you can see the album cover and hear a song on Youtube. what follows is a fairly rare appearance with all four original members of Natural Act in 2002. Ralph Benkus lives near Berkeley and Tim Dawe is still a professor at SF State, while Mitchel and Hal live up in Mendocino
