And the mayor’s office was like, oops, my bad

Ok, so now that these programs have been restored, will the Board of Supervisors approve the new Community Justice Center?. From Livin in the Loin

Budget cuts in these areas were the primary reason that the BOS Budget and Finance Committee halted the initial funding for the (Tenderloin) Community Justice Center. The Full BOS, McGoldrick, Mirkarimi, Daly, Peskin, and Ammiano passed the issue back to the Budget and Finance Committee for the same reason. With the re-allocation of funds to social services, will the BOS now approve funding for the Community Justice Center, or are we going to see politics as usual? — livinintheloin

Yeah, that’s right, the Board of Supes did indeed hold the CJC hostage because of the cuts, so they should now approve it, especially since it’s on the ballot anyway for November. The cuts were the only reason some of the Supes could think of to oppose it, so it will be interesting to see the upcoming stammering arguments opposing it the next time around

here’s the map of the area the Community Justice Center will encompass
