I recently had a discussion about medical pot here in SF with a well known pot activist and the basic premise was the possibility of intruding on the rights of non smokers nearby. I have nothing myself against medical pot, and I smoked myself for many years. I once had a neighbor 6 years ago who had advanced AIDS, weight 90 pounds at 6ft, and I would help him get it, as that was about the only way he could keep food down, so I’ve seen that myself. But I don’t remember him smoking it where it filled up the common areas either.
it just seems it has to do more with common courtesy along the lines of having designated smoking areas like cigarette smokers do, where non smokers can at least move a little down the street, you know?
