                   Dear Geocities:

                   This letter shall serve, as formal notice that Matthew Katz is the holder of the valid Service Mark
                   to the name Moby Grape which was issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office as
                   Registration No. 1,886,382.  This mark was first issued to Matthew Katz on September 9, 1966
                   and was last renewed for an additional IO year period on March 28, 1995 (see attached).

                   Your present use of the name Moby Grape on www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/1256/ is a direct
                   infringement of my rights in and to the name and is a violation of 15 U.S.C.  1125(a) and
                   California Business and Professions Code  17200 et seq.  Your web-site dilutes my business
                   goodwill, contains defamatory remarks as to my business acumen, contains links to defamatory
                   remarks against myself and my family, and otherwise damages both my business and my
                   business reputation.

                   I hereby request that you immediately cease and desist from such illegal use of the name Moby
                   Grape.  If I do not receive your immediate compliance with this request, I will be forced to use
                   every available means to defend my rights.
