This is taxpayer funded staff basically campaigning in taxpayer funded buildings. I have never ever seen any other political organisation able to come to this building and do any kind of similar campaigning. In fact, even tho this video shows no specific issues, I have repeatedly seen THC staff posting fliers on the walls supporting causes that Randy Shaw supports, but I have never seen any other group that was ever able to do that here

so basically, it’s beyondChron, a taxpayer funded website, and THC staff, a taxpayer funded group, campaigning at taxpayer funded buildings, getting out the vote with taxpayer funded residents (CnC) promoting causes that perpetuate more taxpayer dollars to be spent, thereby increasing their own funding, while preventing anybody else from doing the same thing for any other cause.

hmmmmm

UPDATE > I’ve been told it’s legal for them to do this, as long as it’s not specifically campaigning for a candidate.

My point wasn’t really whether that’s illegal or not, but that I’ve never seen anybody else able to come in here and do the same thing, either before or after that article, so legal or not, it’s still hypocritical IMHO

UPDATE 2…Then again this article could very well be an admission of guilt regarding campaigning for a specific candidate. There’s even a photo of this very same building up there. This is something I can’t prove, but I know I’ve seen people in this building campaigning for Chris Daly, but if that was staff or friends of THC, I can’t say for sure, because this was before started keeping records related to this.

for example this quote The second major factor in pushing up turnout was the massive get out the vote effort coordinated by SEIU local 790 and UNITE HERE local 2 in Tenderloin residential hotels.

the SEIU is employed by Tenderloin Housing Clinic here as maintainance staff, but I don’t recall seeing any of that specific staff campaigning. I HAVE seen direct THC staff campaigning before here as the video below shows, but maybe not for the specific issue of a specific candidate

but even if that was legal, it sure smells a little funny, especially when blogs like BeyondChron appear to be promoting fairness, when it’s darn near the opposite.. Either way, it seems borderline improper to me

if there were funny stuff going on, you could see that it would be very difficult to prove unless you had press with cameras following them around all day like puppies. And if that ever happened, you can be sure everything was on the up and up with spit shined shoes and everything

I get the feeling that if this building was the opposite way, if it was not so progressive and the staff was all for Newsom and doing the exact same thing, that BeyondChrons blogs would be very different

BeyondBeyondChron museum of hypocrisy #3 In this issue we explore this voting related article and this quote Mirkarimi will introduce legislation today preventing SRO landlords …

[6
23
post-203","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-6-Tenderloin-Housing-Clinic","tag-tenderloin-housing-clinic
["GET
