It’s the return of free form underground radio in San Francisco since it is now all but extinct in the city that pioneered it<\/a>. It is a part of San Francisco history via FoundSF – Birth of Community Rock Radio: A brief history of KMPX and KSAN-FM<\/a><\/p>\n

KUSF and KSAN Jive radio lives on in these tapes recorded in the mid 1990’s when the original KSAN DJ’s came back for two hours every Sunday from 1992-1996. KUSF in Exile has their own archives going back to 2005<\/a>. The story of the 1990’s KSAN reunion on KUSF can be found here<\/a> with many audio archives from the original KSAN here<\/a>. All of these tapes were recorded off the radio on KUSF between 1995-1996 during the Jive radio Sunday afternoon time slot.<\/p>\n
