one of the videos from Mythic Pizza on 6th Street was shown on Trutv
the original video was from June of 2007 and showed late night clubgoers, probably from Club 6, since it was 2:30am and those two places are the only ones open at that time
Trutv found the video on Youtube and made a clip of it, but it was removed from Youtube and nobody knows why
here's the original
In a related note, the Examiner says things are improving on 6th Street
while Curbed is Stunned!
" A French bakery and restaurant is slated to open this summer at Market and Sixth Streets. Repeat: Market and Sixth will soon see a French bakery. And restaurant.
*Pause for recovery* Moving along then ... "
Thanks to Jerry Jarvis who found the embed code on Trutv for me
Ironic, after I spent the last 24 hours migrating this entire mysql and php database to a new server with no tools at all..I found out even coders consider that a pain in the ass...LOL...now they tell me :P

bleeding on the sidewalk
Update!..this person has been released from the hospital. He is going to be OK, except for a huge headache.. security tapes have been given to the police
Udpate 2...police came by and arrested one of the assailants today. the resident of THC who caused problems before as logged below. Not sure who the guy is who did the kicking yet tho
resident of Tenderloin Housing Clinic laying on the sidewalk bleeding from the back of his head today. He got kicked in the head, but he'll survive. You can hear people say 'blood is pouring out of his head"..This guy is in the hospital now. A lot of people didn't think he'd make it
crime scene. Notice there's a guy with a video camera. You don't usually see these unless they think there's going to be a death, right?. Does he work for the police?
update. It's another resident of tenderloin Housing Clinic who assaulted this guy. This is angle 1 and doesn't show the first assault yet
angle2 > see the guy in the brown coat take the first swing.
It's the same guy with a crowbar a few days ago
same guy who assaulted this other resident
this guy is going to kill somebody one of these days and he came close to it today. Police made it a crime scene, and they don't know who did it yet. There is now blood on Randy Shaws hands. Management has been warned about this guy before

and finally, here is the complete "Pizza tapes" hour tape from the pizza place, starting 7 minutes before the incident, and shows everything, the good Samaritans and how quickly they responded, how quickly the ambulance came by, the cleanup. Yep, even here on 6th street, people do care. Should be a case study
One thing to remember, this was a near accident that the tapes were recovered. The pizza people don't know how to use their own machine, believe it or not, and if I hadn't know this happened, and if the pizza guy didn't call his boss, this assailant probably would have gotten away with it and lived at THC for years and nobody would have ever known. Because nobody knew who did this,, until this tape was recovered

Club 6 and the controversy
update May 25, SFist posted a story this morning on it
In response to the Bay Guardian article and the BeyondChron response and the subsequent response to the response, I would like to offer what nobody has so far, an audio interview with Jim Ayers who was quoted and possibly misquoted in the Bay Guardian, and who initially filed the small claims action against Club Six last year and won. Jim lives directly above Club Six. I live at the Seneca almost next door, but I'm facing the opposite way, so I can sometimes hear the deep bass late at night, but I can't see anything and can't tell if it's sometimes from passing boomer cars. But 6 months ago, i can say for sure there was alot more drunk people yelling and screaming in Jessie Alley (club 6), that one thing has gotten better
well, I will let him tell the rest. you can download or listen right here on the flash player, like a podcast
now here's a fight that happened nearby, Sunday morning at 2:50am May 20, 2007 at Mythic Pizza
ok, I know they're coming from the other way, but one person told me these people were at Club Six earlier (at one point you can see one of them waving toward Club six). Mythic Pizza is only a few doors down from Club Six, and is something we didn't see alot of before Club Six. These people don't live here, that's for sure. The owner of Mythic Pizza, Saad, wasn't quite sure himself, but he did say the customers from Anu club across the street are mostly alot better than the ones from Club Six..that is, cause less problems.
anyway, once again, it's the 6th Street family entertainment hour..enjoy
angle1
angle2
angle3...This is probably the best one
and finally, here's 3 earlier videos of Club six I took last year, to help Jim Ayers document some stuff...Doesn't show too much, the microphone is not quite matched and is quieter than it should be. Either way, I offered to go up there and make a video of how loud it is, but only so much can be felt on a video. You can't feel the floorboards shaking on a video. Like he said, only one person has actually bothered to go upstairs and see it for themselves when it's at full swing at 2am

mythic pizza, tip jar grab2, mayhem
another tip jar grab, and general mayhem, Mythic Pizza, 6th and Stevenson, San Francisco, Mar29, 2007, 1:25pm
this is why it's so hard to open a business on 6th street, because this happens about every day. Three people try for the tip jar in 2 minutes, one of them grabs two condiment bottles, another is harassing the customers who promptly leave
also, the guy in the blue coat, orange cap, black backpack is yet another Tenderloin Housing Clinic resident You can see him trying to grab money from the tip jar, now on the floor. Looks like he pocketed something too. He lives right above the pizza place and hangs out most days right on this corner. proof that Tenderloin Housing Clinic adds to this areas problems
angle 1
angle2 (this is shorter but best shows the grab for the tip jar)

mythic pizza, low level scam
mythic pizza, 6th and Stevenson, san francisco, last friday, apr 27, 2007, 10:08pm
guy comes in(white hat) pays for a pizza, clerk hands him the change, guy immediately pockets one of the bills when clerk's not looking, then claims he didn't get the right change. Watch closely, cause it's quick and slick. the employee could have gotten fired for this

grabbing the tip jar at Mythic Pizza
so the owner of Mythic Pizza told me somebody tried to grab the tip jar last Friday. This is about 4:45pm, Friday 13th, Apr, 2007
Mythic Pizza, San Francisco, 6th and Stevenson. It turns out, this guy who tried to grab money out of the tip jar is one of my neighbors, who has already been causing problems around here, like climbing the roof and scaffolding late at night..
this is another resident of Tenderloin Housing Clinic. In fact, this same person was present in a previous video in the 6th street mythic pizza thread when somebody else tried to grab the spice jars
he was outside my window last week, and I'm on the 6th floor. Supposedly the management is evicting him, because he causes problems with them too. So basically, in some cases, it doesn't matter if some people get 'supportive' housing or not, they're still going to be out on the street causing problems. Anyway, here's all three angles surrounding this tip jar grab, from last friday

Mythic Pizza test2
2nd test video using a modified (mp3) audio codec, as opposed to a proprietary MS proprietary codec, including im44 codec and audio used in the original (common codecs used in CCTV), now converted to divx-mp3
this is just a random test here to see if it works OK...nothing special, life on 6th street in some ways
second angle, internal CCTV cam looking out toward 6th street, from Mythic Pizza, corner of 6th and Stevenson, San Francisco, about 5pm today
