My challenge to the Mayor quit giving Civic Center Hotel money...
I am truly amazed when I read about the expenditures for the homeless,yet I can see alot of the same damn people I saw 4 years ago when I hit the streets.I am aware of a few people who are in care not cash rooms.They usually can not believe that the city makes them work for such a dump.The people who are stuck living in the Civic Center Hotel should have city apologies.The city wants these people to fly like an eagle when they live in a MAJOR DRUG DEALING HUB.The blatant dealing has been going on for years,the SF WEEKLY did a write up trying to expose some of this BS and no-one cared.Now our economy has gone to hell and it has only gotten worse.I am determined to expose these placees now before the economt gets even more down and these services even suffer more.The biggest reason for this is the city takes low bids on SROs.The low bid SROs are DUMPS,DUMPS,DUMPS.Cheap,dirty,ghetto low-life breeding DUMPS.These dumps are worse than jails,jails are safer and cleaner.Yet the city expects people to live there and be GRATEFUL.I was grateful for what Irvin did for me when I stayed at his shelter once.I can never be grateful for the so-called services that the city spends money on.THE CIY IS GETTING RIPPED OFF,AND SO ARE THE CLIENTS.THE clients are being robbed of the better life that everyone thinks they are getting.The city makes it sound like they have everybody covered.HELL NO.Human beings stumble through the WIDE CRACKS in the system every day and the city says different.The CITY LIES ALOT.Tell the truth,PLEASE.The time for politics on the backs of human beings is over,THE TRUTH WILL PREVAIL!!!!Do you need someone to access these dumps?Hey Mayor Newsom,I will do it FOR NOTHING.You know that useless Homeless Czar you had,I want the job and I do not want anything but a place to live,my SSI and VA check will be my money.This person needs to be someone who was homeless once themselves.Then the position needs no title.Czar is a bit arrogant and not appropriate.I have no need for a TITLE.There is a need however to get busy and hold programs accountable.The SROs that are dumps,GONE.The overcrowded part of the shelters that have no ventilation or windows,GONE.In its place facilities similar to the one that Irvin Goodwin opened in Menlo Park.The bad apples need to be accessed and the CITY needs to quit giving them money,PERIOD!!Then and only then can the city ask the private sector to help until then I would not give them any money EITHER.Who wants to give to sleazy,unethical,filthy,crooks like The Civic Center Hotel.THE REASON THE PRIVATE SECTOR DOES NOT HELP NOW IS THEY KNOW THE CITY WASTES THE MONEY THEY HAVE NOW!!To keep on giving them resources would be INSANE until the bad apples are removed.I want to clean the system up and then ask for property and money from the private sector,just like Irvin Goodwin did but not until it is cleaned up.I am FED-UP and MAYBE I have to ACT-UP,who knows.This Service Connected Disabled Veteran is just beginning.The Unknown Homeless Man will expose the truth.The Unknown Homeless Man will not rest until these wrongs made right.I will not rest until the whole sham is EXPOSED.I have news for ya all too,I don't care about the money,I want nothing in return but the satisfaction of exposing this and the chance to do better,THATS IT.I could also use a HOME,I will live with the CLIENTS,after all I am ONE OF THEM and no-better.I can not believe Gavin Newsom made some dude The Homeless Czar when he did not have A CLUE on what it is like to be homeless.Be for real man,WHATS UP!! We are homeless not stupid and blind.Why do you think that these people prefer the streets over these hell-holes.I KNOW.I LIVED IT AND UNDERSTAND ALOT.I understand that the services available are dysfunctional just like my family while growing up.I don't need that kind of so-called help.What does it take to expose them,The SF Weekly did a Story on The Civic Center Hotel and no-one cared.It still takes city money.The economy is worse now and these places will only multiply and get worse as the city seeks low-bidders.WE do not need low bidders we need donations of property.The donations that will appear as soon as WE GET OUR SHIT TOGETHER.The private sector WILL respond I know it.They are after all logical business people.They will never give to the system if it stays its UNLOGICAL and UNETHICAL .Clean it up and watch the property and donations roll in.I GUARANTEE IT!Irvin Goodwin started a shelter with proper donations that were a STRONG FOUNDATION to buid from.He made sure the shelter lived up to a standard,that people and businesses wanted to help.He was a Homeless Black Veteran who had a vision and DID IT,in spite of the NAYSAYERS!He knew the private sector would help if approached properly and they KNOW WHERE THE MONEY GOES!The private sector is NOT THAT APATHETIC they just do not like dumping money into failed business models profit or non-profit.DUH,THEY ARE RIGHT!!We must also keep it religion nuetral.Enough is enough,TIME FOR CHANGE. GOD HELP US
