The tapes are two track, meaning there are two separate tracks on the reel, each a seperate performance in mono, and unless you have the right machine with adjustable heads, you'll get both tracks at the same time, and possibly tape head azimuth problems. The machine used today had fixed heads, so we're going to try and find another machine that can do it better soon and get these properly digitized. this first test run was from the left channel only, digitally separated from the right channel and spliced at 28:30 to the end. The tapes were all recorded in St Louis in 1978
