friend of mine in Holland said there was a documentary tonight on Dutch TV about Bayview Hunters Point. Specifically, it's about Brothers Against Guns, part of a City hall project from 2005. I see their own website expired already.
here's the Dutch TV link this was not a standalone doc, but a segment on a news program ( a daily current affairs program). The segment is 18 minutes and was the second part of the news broadcast. "EénVandaag' is screened from Monday through Saturday from 18.20 – 18.50 and draws a daily audience of 850,000 viewers. It has a marketshare of 20 %, and ranks among the most important current affairs shows on Dutch TV."
update, the segment is now online. Much of this is in English, narration is Dutch
show description translated
Shawn Richard walked the streets with a gun, when he was 14 years old. Being the leader of a drug dealing gang in SF. His story is typical of the hard life that black young people have in the ghetto's of this American city. Dozens are killed by bullets every year. Shawns brother died as well. He declined gang-life and started an organization Brothers against Guns. This organization offers young gang members an alternative in hopefully leaving their life controlled by weapons and drugs

drum circle from last year
video from last year in September with an older lower res cam at a drum circle in Golden gate Park, San Francisco.. At the time I was just passing through and testing the equipment. There was a B-52's concert close by where Hippy Hill is so that's why they were in this alternate spot at the time. I had no idea there would be any response. But responses I did get, and there just isn't any middle ground when it comes to hippies. LOL
Makes me want to go out and do a whole hour now with the newer better cam, just to see if there's a riot on Youtube..hehe
