This section is from Division st, or 13th, almost under the hwy 101 bridge, on Folsom through western South of Market, up to Market and about 6th Street. At about 11th and Howard, you'll see a fellow bike messenger I used to work with at Western, carrying roll of architect drawings. I got fired for losing 3 of these over the course of 7 years at Western. 2 of them were found again...At the time I put them on my back bike rack tied down with bungee chords, and you can guess the rest..Stuff happens, what can I say?...i think patty even felt a little sheepish when she fired me.. 7 years, 3 packages lost, all tubes like that...2 were found again, 1 never was

Well, golly, I figured it would be so nice to have a video to go along with these wonderfully descriptive words. In fact, any good readers out there?..send me an mp3 of these words and I'll put it on the video. Of note, this is basically a perl script of keywords somebody else on the board was ranting about, but still, it might be fun to mash the words, some ambient music, and a video to this stuff

This just reeks of impropriety, something that holds itself out like journalism, but is paid for with public money

for example, this is the final proposed 2007/2008 CDBG block grant (PDF) which is part of HUD or Department of Housing and Urban Development. In it, THC gets $87,000 for legal services, so basically HUD is paying THC for their in house attorneys. Would that be Paul Hogarths salary?

Beyond Chron kisses Newsom’s ass

For all of you still wondering why Beyond Chron’s, Paul Hogarth bent over and spread em for Gavin Newsom last week (“maybe we shouldn’t’ oppose him cause he might get mad”?) … for those of you not in the know, the answer is simple.

It’s budget season and The Tenderloin Housing Clinic is up for their annual stipend from the City. The last couple of years, the Mayor cut THC and their lawyers (of whom, Hogarth is one) out of the budget he submitted to the Board of supes. Daly and Mirkarimi and Peskin had to add-back THC’s money. This year, Shaw figures that if he gives the Mayor a blow job before Gavin submits his budget, maybe the supes might not have to use add-backs to insure Randy and Paul’s salaries for the next year. Nobody’s all pure here, people. Shaw regularly abandons the left and his ‘principles’ when given an opportunity to increase his own power. Inside sources have said for years that Randy even owns a big chunk of the Tenderloin building where THC is housed through straw parties. Randy may be our poverty pimp, but like all pimps, he takes his cut off the top.
